Our "Service for Sale" Event

was FANTASTIC! I work with amazingly talented sisters on the Enrichment Board and our February Service Auction turned out great! Thank you SO much for making it so incredibly fun. We collected "services" over the few weeks preceding our auction and printed gift certificates for each of them (posted on the wall behind the tables). We had people donate things like a photo shoot for an hour, free babysitting, and dinner for a special occasion.

Several people also brought things with them that evening (that's what's all over the tables). Plum jam (gee...who brought that?), chocolate zucchini bread, homemade candles, and an incredibly delicious plate of frosted brownies (in a moment of desperation I bid all the points I had left on it...TOTALLY worth it!).

We gave everyone a survey awarding points for various things from what color they were wearing and how many buttons to whether they'd done their visiting teaching or read their scriptures recently. Once they totaled their points they were free to enjoy our refreshments
and scope out the tables to figure out what they wanted to bid on. We delievered numbered paddles to everyone and let the bidding begin. It was hilarious and a huge success. Can't wait to do it again sometime!

Again a big thank you to Caralee, Tiffani, Josie, and of course Meredith, our Auctioneer! You made the evening quite a hit!

What an awesome idea that was!!! I am going to have to keep this in my back pocket in case I ever get on the Enrichment Committee. (P.S. I would have bid on the brownies too!)
