A 9.5 on the "Toughness" Scale

Unable to reconcile the total UN-masculinity of a scooter, Carl has talked me into letting him buy a motorcycle. I will be thrilled to actually see the savings in gas and equally as entertained watching Carl work up the guff to get out of the parking lot. He's promised he will actually ride it to work and not just admire it from the parking lot. Here it is in all its "tough" & manly glory, the Hyosung GT250R:

(for those interested in the proper pronunciation of the Korean brand, it's h-yeoh-sung-those more concerned with the American slaughtering of the name, it's hi-oh-sung)

I can't believe you actually got a motorcycle! Kristen, I can't believe you let him do it! I would have never seen you as a motorcycle family.

I always wanted a motorcycle! Girls on motorcycles are cool and very tough. I'm going to have to consider it again soon.

I'm wishing Josh weren't sitting next to me as I looked at your blog. Now I'm going to hear about it for WEEKS that someone else he knows got a motorcycle and he doesn't have one...

Wow, Carl has one understanding wife. I know another guy in the same situation and I am amazed they are able to get permission to buy this big toy. Luckily I don't want one, I could never get the Mrs to agree.
