I suppose no one who is pregnant is ever really sure what their child will be like but we all like to guess. Connor didn't move around like crazy (just a constant foot in my ribs) and I think as a result I assumed he'd be a more quiet and calm child. How wrong I was. He certainly can be serious, but he's not lacking in activity levels.
Yesterday, I put him down for his morning nap and then when he got up, I fed him lunch and we headed straight for Madera. His cousins are in town and I wanted him to get a chance to play with them (ok, and I enjoy the girl-time too. Yay for fabulous sisters-in-law!). Once we got there, it was a wild ride the rest of the afternoon. He played hard outside, running, swimming, and chasing Mojo, the dog. He played hard inside, knocking over his cousins' block cities and trailing ten feet behind wherever they went. We even made t-shirts...
On the way home, he totally crashed. But the ride is only 30 minutes and we were home by 5pm. I was certain he'd be ready for bed by 7:30pm, his normal bedtime, especially after a hard day of play. Wrong again. The little rascal stayed wide-eyed and energized til 9pm when I finally decided that tired or not, he was going to bed...and so was I.
