Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we had excellent company.  Living on the same side of the country (roughly-they live in South Carolina) as an old roommate/best bud of mine, we arranged to do Thanksgiving together particularly since our families all live back in California.

They arrived on Wednesday and we spent the entire weekend just relaxing and having fun. The kids got along fabulously and we can't wait to get together again.  If only there weren't 8 hours in between us!

On Thursday while all the yummy food was cooking, we had the kids make turkeys with felt and beans.  They loved gluing and each had such a different idea of what they wanted their turkey to look like.  Clockwise from top left: Lizzy, Tyler, Connor, and Liam (who clearly had some help from his parents!)

 We also took the kids to a local park and they thoroughly enjoyed it.  Even Barry and Michelle got in on the merry-go-round action.  Brave souls!

As usual when you're having a great time, it went by too fast.  Love this girl and her family!  SO glad they were able to come and visit! The only thing that could have made it better would have been the other 2 roomies and their families sitting around the table with us.  :)

Oh, and of course thanks to 4 hungry kids and 2 pregnant moms (Michelle and I have managed to always be pregnant at the same time) we neglected the camera during our give-thanks-meal but trust me, everything was delectable!
