Family Home Evening

This year we're spending a whole month on various values during our family home evening lessons.  I'm hoping that by hearing a lesson by 2 parents on the topic as well as each having to prepare their own lesson on the same topic that we might attain a little more retention (fingers crossed).  Our first topic is "faith and prayer".  So far so good.  Family home evening is becoming a more established event.  Previously it was comprised of a spiritual thought and the typical activity of singing "Follow the Prophet" while we all take turns being the leader and marching around the house while we sing.

Now it includes a more meaningful and better prepared lesson and the occasional related activity.  The magazine The Friend has never been so helpful.  A couple weeks ago we made CTR (choose the right) pretzels!
