We rejoiced heart and soul when we found out my mom was coming to visit. It had been just over a year since we'd seen her last and the kids soaked up every minute of her visit. They curled up next to Grandma to read stories every night and showed off all sorts of talents, skills, and manly muscles.
Grandma brought a fun activity, painting Halloween shirts, for the boys earning her even more points on the cool grandparent scorecard.
But we wanted Grandma to see a little bit of Alabama too so we took her where we fit in best, the Zoo! The kids were troopers! We were there over 3 hours and they walked the whole way and didn't complain once.
