Connor's birthday snuck up on me this year. I can't believe he turned 4. He was totally jazzed abotu Hungry Hungry Hippos but not quite as jazzed as he was about the Nerf gun. We celebrated on his actual birthday with strawberry shortcake but the real party came later...
Part of his birthday present was soccer camp (thanks to Grandma and Papa Gaufin). Connor spent 2 hours a day for a whole week practicing his mad skills. He won a few of the games they played and that was exciting, but not quite as exciting as the popsicles they got at the end.
We ended June with a true tribute to Connor - pirate style. Connor helped design and draw our Pirate flag and a good friend of ours offered and so graciously brought over their inflatable obstacle course and pirate ship which also happened to be a water slide. Best party ever! The kids went wild for a few hours until it was time to chow down on the scurvy dogs (hot dogs) and pirate cupcakes. We couldn't have been more grateful for all the friends who came and helped us forget we're so far from family.
