Together Time

That would be the current title for our toddler school-esque attempts at entertaining and teaching Connor. I'm hoping that having some scheduled activities and plans will help keep us sane this winter. The plan is to focus on a new topic every one to two weeks. We'll be playing games, reading books, taking field trips, and doing arts and crafts.

This week began with Zoo Days: We got out a bunch of stuffed animals you'd find at the zoo and set them up in the living room. First we trotted around the room stopping at the different stations to visit the animals and talk about what sounds they make. We also played music and occasionally I'd yell out an animal and then Connor had to run to that animal. These first two games didn't last long but the third was a big hit. We gathered lots of baby rings and Connor's job was to go around and feed each of the animals. He LOVED it. He kept telling me that he needed to feed them "one more time, k Mom?" We finished up by reading two stories about animals. Our field trip will be taking place next week. We'll be headed to the zoo of course.

this is so creative! Post more ideas, please!

Much better than saying over and over and over
"What's a cow say?" "Mow."
"What's a rooster say?" "Cockadoo!"
etc, etc, etc

Miss little Connor and his ratty blanket so much!
