Pregnancy Pictures

At the request of many friends who for some uknown crazy reason want to see pictures of me far thicker than wide (pregnant) I offer the following explanation.

These are my feet. They are not particularly cute, are usually in need of a manicure, but otherwise VERY functional. I have a high appreciation for my feet. These are the lifeless ogre-like appendages that take over near the end of pregnancy. Those who witnessed this unfortunate transformation when I was pregnant with Connor have asked if I've escaped the swelling curse this time around. The answer is undeniably no. For those who've never experienced this odd phenomenon, just think of me every time you can bend your toes successfully.

Let me just say, you can imagine I'm sure that if my feet are this swollen, there is a completely valid reason for limiting my pregnancy pictures to my feet. I prefer you all to remember when my body resembled humanity.
For further evidence I offer the following short anecdote. I have been using the word "baby" a lot in an effort to help prepare Connor as best I can for what is to come. He's learned that when I ask, "Where's the baby?" if there isn't another baby around, the answer is to point to my tummy. Last night during dinner, the baby was squirming and I turned to Connor who was sitting next to me and said, "Connor, where's the baby?" Carl could not contain his laughter when Connor, without a second thought, pointed to and tapped my arm and said, "Baby!" (In my own defense, Connor has pointed to his own tummy in the past in answer to that question.)
For those of you a little concerned (much like I was the first time) that my toes might just pop right off my feet, take solace in knowing I only have 4 weeks to go. That and I have a wonderful husband who is MOST helpful (when he's not laughing at my sad condition)!

I COMPLETELY understand. I decided with Spencer's pregnancy that when my own doctor thought that I looked as though I morphed into another being that it wasn't a good sign (I thought she'd just pretend I didn't look so awful!). So while I don't think you probably look "awful," I DO understand the whole not-wanting-pregnant-pictures-on-the-blog thing. Hang in there girl. We REALLY need to catch up, but like I've told you, I only have your old cell #....email me the newer one so I can call you!! That's so pathetic, I know you changed it like a year ago!!! BTW, I love your swollen feet anyway. If I were there I'd take you out for a pregnancy pedicure--they're the BEST!:)

Ah, 4 weeks! Yay! The last 3 went really fast--for me at least!

In a cute comedic way, your swollen tootsies look like Fred Flintstone's feet, haha

Miss you guys! (again, can I say it enough?)

If it posts twice..it's because I don't know anything about computers. What I tried to post the first time was just that you're gorgeous...and no matter how big your feet get or whatever else..you couldn't be anything but gorgeous. (I've always been jealous of how gorgeous you are.) seriously. you're beautiful & always will be. Some people are just lucky that way! Love you tons! Hang in there..p.s. I love your big feet. It makes me love you even more. ;)If they get bigger, please post more pics! ;)

That's how my feet looked too! They stayed that way for like a week AFTER Claire came too... I picked up some compression stockings from The Bone Store, and it totally helped. Have you tried anything like that? Let me know. I still have mine if you want to try them out... :-)
