So on Monday evening, after tucking Connor tightly in bed, Carl and I plopped down on the floor to finish putting together our 72 hour kits (which I am WILDLY proud of completing!!). I grabbed the remote and turned on the tv. Before the picture could register, the sound came through nice and clear, a man's voice finishing a sentence. Without missing a beat, Carl says something like, "Ooh, it's the Bachelor!" I waited for the tv to finish registering the picture to confirm and sure enough, my husband identified The Bachelor by voice recognition.
To further my surprise, Carl proceeded to voice which of the girls he wanted sent home. He announced that he hopes Melissa wins and Stephanie is sent home. He shoved items into our bags during commercials but his attention was otherwise engaged while the show was on. Anyone else have an amusing hubby strangely knowledgeable about The Bachelor? :)

ha... Yeah, my husband used to watch it with me, but he has a night class now on Monday nights- He would probably kill me if he knew I just made that public information though! =)
wow..I can't believe you sold out your husband like that! hahahahha Poor Carl! haha
I don't think the Bachelor is one of Phil's shows, but he does have quite the list of reality shows he must watch and/or DVR. True Beauty and American Idol are near the top though.
That's so funny! Matt says he won't watch it, but when he comes in, he sits down and watches it with me, at least sometimes....
too funny
random fact: Jason's cousin used to work at my office a few years ago. my boss talked to him a few weeks back about the show and he confirmed Jason is really exactly what it shows on the show! small world...
Scott actually watches it with me every monday...but he won't admit it to you. He was happy to see Stephanie go, I thought she was sweet but he thought it was all an act and that she was lying about how old she was (he thinks shes in her mid 40's). We both want Melissa to win, we think everyone else is annoying
Too funny. Ben doesn't watch The Batchelor, but he does watch every cheesy little girl chick flick and saves them to the DVR. I can't even count how many times I've seen Princess Diaries because of him! I guess it's better than a lot of the other things guys might be drawn towards. LOL.
